What is scouting?

Cub Scouting is a program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), whose overall mission is to help prepare boys and girls in grades K-5 to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

There are four aims of Cub Scouting: citizenship, character, personal fitness, and leadership.

Scouting essentials

Here are the starting items you will need to get going.

Membership

An annual membership for the participating scout is required. Compared to the cost of sports and many other activities, there is no doubt that Scouting delivers a great value to its members.

Our registration fee is currently $175 for a new scout, $150 for a returning scout.

Uniform

The Cub Scout uniform shows that you are a member of a team. Each grade has a specific uniform for their program.

The Cub scout uniform, sometimes referred to as class "A", can also be combined with an optional pack t-shirt, or class "B" uniform.

Uniforms are available from the official scout shop.
Pack t-shirts are available from the Pack store.

Handbook

Each grade level has a specific handbook that contains all of the required and elective adventures for their rank. Handbook's also serve as a Scout's record of completing adventures.

Handbooks are available from the official Scout Shop.

Activities

Throughout the year there will be additional activities such as overnight camp outs, field trips, or day camps. These activities may have additional costs associated with them. Information on these activities are shared with the Pack as they are available.
