From Our Facebook Page:

Scouts and Parents:
Here’s what’s happening for Memorial Day. We hope you’ll participate!

Our Charter Organization, the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church, will have a combined worship service this Sunday at 11am with a potluck lunch to follow. The service will begin with a tribute to those who gave their lives in service to our country. The Boy Scout Troop 196 will be leading a flag ceremony and any Cub Scouts in attendance are welcome to join in with their ranks. Class A uniforms are required. The Church extends a sincere invitation to all who would like to attend and allow their Scout to pay tribute on this very special weekend. Please arrive a few minutes early if you plan to take part.

In addition, please remember we will be replacing flags on veterans’ graves this Saturday morning at 9 am at the LH Cemetery across from the high school on Hwy 29. Class A uniforms are required, as this is a reverent activity. The boys enjoy this activity and it really gives them a hands-on education regarding Memorial Day.
